BASE-UK is delighted to be hosting Dr Jonathan Lundgren of Bluedasher Farm, South Dakota, USA from the 3rd to 5th December 2018.

BOOK NOW – BASIS AND NROSO POINTS AVAILABLE.  Closing date 28th November 2018.

Jon is a world-renowned expert and award-winning scientist in the fields of agroecology and risk assessment.  He was a top scientist with USDA for 11 years and has strong ties with the scientific community, policy makers and regulators, and numerous farmers, ranchers, and beekeepers from around the world.

He is a biological farming researcher using biodiversity to solve problems such as root worm and corn borer in maize.  Jon uses biodiversity to overcome major problems rather than using GM.

His vision is that we can grow food and conserve the environment.  His mission is to combine research, education and demonstrate that this can support regenerative agriculture.

Based at Blue Dasher Farm, South Dakota along with his wife and other team members he develops and evaluates ecology-based pests and farm management solutions to reduce disturbance and increase biodiversity of crop and livestock production.  Bluedasher Farm

He has also been involved in some interesting work on identifying predators of cereal aphids and how important they are to help control of aphid numbers and reducing the spread of BYDV.

He promotes regenerative farming practices through teaching farmers, outreach programs and the next generation of scientists.

He demonstrates his ideas and research on his fully functional farm, showcasing the viability and sustainability of regenerative agriculture.

At the meetings Jon will explain his research and how to put it into practice on farm.  We look forward to welcoming you to one (or all) of the following venues:
