Dr Joanna Cloy, from Fidra, presents on the hidden threats to soil health from contaminated biosolids focusing on the growing issue of plastic and chemical contamination from agricultural inputs such as sewage sludge and other industrial organic wastes. She starts by discussing soil health/practical measures to protect soil health and the benefits of clean organic materials. She will communicate relevant soil health and biodiversity monitoring plans/support for farmers from government.
